The Mr. Frog Show is a comedy series which, for most of its run, was hosted by and starred Mr. Frog. The show's popularity and iconic impact on pop culture led to Mr. Frog becoming one of the richest and most powerful people in the world. As of "Mr. President", Mr. Frog is the president-elect of the United States, putting the fate of the series up in the air.

Description[]

Episodes generally focus on Mr. Frog eating his co-star Bug, talking about how he is eating the bug, and saying "I love you!" to his dedicated audience.

Depending on the episode, Mr. Frog wears a different costume to go with the theme of the episode. Halloween, Christmas, and Easter specials of the series are known to exist.

Controversies[]

TMZ incident[]

For a brief period, Mr. Frog was fired from the show's production due to an incident of assault, which involved him putting a TMZ reporter into his mouth in a fit of drug-induced rage. Following the attack, Mr. Frog went on a tumultuous PR campaign to clear his name and apologize for his actions. During this time, he attempted to donate to charity and was featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (see below). Eventually he took to the set of The Mr. Frog Show and apologised directly to his audience, then proceeded to eat the show's producer Rex alive which earned him widespread praise.

The Tonight Show incident[]

In his first appearance in televised media since his dismissal from The Mr. Frog Show, Mr. Frog launched into a tirade during an interview conducted by fellow show host Jimmy Fallon. When asked by Fallon about the worst aspects of working on his former show, Mr. Frog aggressively referred to an unnamed group of people as "those filthy ########s." The rant was censored during its broadcast, causing its content to be obscured, however it has been inferred from the reactions of Fallon, the audience, and many news publications that it was intensely derogatory and damaging to Mr. Frog's efforts at public redemption.

Trivia[]

  • Due to its reputation as one of the longest running television series and its revolutionary approach to visual storytelling, The Mr. Frog Show has gone on to break every single record in television history and spawned a cult following known colloquially as 'Frogmania'.
