Shrimp is a character in Smiling Friends who serves as the client in Shrimp's Odyssey, originally trying to win back his ex-girlfriend Shrimpina.

Body[]
As his name implies, Shrimp is a short, pink anthropomorphic shrimp. He has a stout, plump torso and a heavy slouch, with short legs, shriveled arms, and a tiny tail fin. He has a small mouth, a long, sausage-like nose that curves downward, and eyes that are almost always squinted. He is nearly bald, with only three strands of hair growing out of his otherwise bare scalp. His head is attached to a long neck, which is covered in darker pink exoskeletal segments that give him a slightly worm-like appearance. He is also seen with an "iconic shrimp glow" with tan, orange skin and blisters covering almost all of his body.

Shrimp usually wears glasses, a Mouse Quest II t-shirt, blue shorts, and black shoes with white socks.
Personality[]
Shrimp seems to be a reclusive man, preferring to spend time playing his favourite MMORPG - Mouse Quest II. He is an avid fan as he has a large collection of MQII - related merchandise along with other pop-culture related collectibles. It is implied that his screen time resulted in his extremely poor eyesight and light sensitivity. Shrimp apparently neglected his relationship with Shrimpina (presumably by playing MQII), but is still devoted to his girlfriend, going to great lengths to win back her favor - including getting out of his room, changing up his attire and even attending a gym. He is also visibly devastated to learn that Shrimpina doesn't want to resume their relationship. He is also quick to move on, as demonstrated at the end of his episode.
Background[]
Not much is known about Shrimp's backstory other than his relationship and subsequent break-up with Shrimpina. It can be inferred that Shrimpina was the one who intiated the breakup.

- Although Shrimp himself is not seen, his Mouse Quest II character, xXxd4rk5hrimp98xXx, can been seen on one of the screens Allan is looking at in the lobby of IGB Games during the season 2 episode Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4K (Anniversary Director's Cut).
Trivia[]
- According to a YouTube comment, David Firth said that Zach and Michael asked for the Jerry Jackson voice for Shrimp, to which he then stated "Easiest voice acting gig of my life."
- His outfit in the clothing store, as well as Charlie's quote "You look like you're about to tell your friend to not come to school tomorrow, man." might be a reference to Dylan Klebold's outfit and the 1999 Columbine Incident, although this could be a coincidence.
