The Presidents are the leaders of the United States of America. Throughout the course of the show, there have been several mentions of presidents, with one episode (Mr. President) being entirely about a president.

• Ronald Reagan couldn't have served the 1981-1985 presidential term, due to Shrimpo Jones winning the election. It is unknown if he ran for re-election in 1984.
• Ross Perot ran for re-election and won in 1996, meaning he had also previously won the 1992 election. This means Bill Clinton wasn't president in the 90s.
• The "magic bullet" Charlie talks about in Mole Man is a direct reference to the single-bullet theory involving the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
• So far, two Smiling Friends presidents have died in office, President Shrimp and President Pinhead.
  • Coincidentally, Pinhead died due to bad shrimp.
    • Strangely, Smiling Friends has had two shrimp-themed presidents, Shrimpo Jones and President Shrimp.

• President Pinhead's death could possibly be a reference to Zachary Taylor's death, due to both of their deaths involving food.
• Smormu's full name is a reference to the 39th president of the United States, Jimmy Carter.
• President Peanut might be a reference to Jimmy Carter, who was known as the Peanut President due to previously being a peanut farmer.
• Assuming that the presidential elections were the same as in the real world, President Pinhead was elected in 2020. If the episode takes place in 2024, this means President Jimble only served as president for a few months before losing to Mr. Frog in the 2024 election.
• It is unknown exactly how long Mr. Frog's presidency was, though it can be assumed it was a rather short amount of time.
