And don’t forget about me, Grease! I coulda done it!

Grease is a character in Smiling Friends who appears in "Who Violently Murdered Simon S. Salty?" He is one of the mascots at Salty's, a controversial fast food restaurant.

Appearance[]

He is a puddle of grease with two eyes and a mouth.

Role in episode[]

This Grease puddle appears as one of Salty's mascots, a fictional fast food restaurant. He is one of the only two mascots that didn't attack Salty's corpse, the other being the Century Egg. He initially tries to draw attention to himself by saying he was capable of killing Salty, but also making it clear that he didn't. He later prompts Charlie to play the entirety of the tape of Salty's office, ironically revealing that Salty died from a greasy burger.

Trivia[]

  • Grease's voice is a parody of Christine Weston "Chris Chan" Chandler, an online artist known for creating the Sonichu webcomic.
    • Grease was originally set to be voiced by Chris Chan herself during the episode's development, but Zach Hadel held off on actually contacting her until everything else in Season 1 was finished due to concerns she'd break an NDA. By the time she could be casted, the budget allocated for celebrity guest stars had run out, so Harry Partridge was ultimately cast in the role instead.
    • Chris Chan was also arrested for repeatedly raping her elderly mother who was suffering from dementia in the name of "soul bonding" for the dimensional merge during the production of the episode in summer 2021.
