"Yes, I was delicious, but the public wasn’t ready for it, so I sold terribly, and Salty took me off his damn menu and locked me away down here. And now you know my cool f*cking backstory."

The Century Egg was a character who appeared in "Who Violently Murdered Simon S. Salty?".

Appearance[]

The Century Egg was a dark gray-colored, potato-shaped egg with short arms and legs. The egg has big lips, a mouth, and two red-colored eyes with dark red irises.

Role in episode[]

The Century Egg was a Chinese egg and a discontinued fast-food mascot of Simon S. Salty at the fictional fast-food restaurant known as Salty's. The Century Egg didn't sell very well because the public wasn't ready for it, so Salty left him chained up in the basement.

When Pim and Charlie found an entrance to the basement, they headed down there and found the chained-up Century Egg. He revealed that he had a secret security camera that monitors Salty's office, allowing Pim and Charlie to see how Salty died.

Before the egg passed away, he asked the two to bury him in the Chinese Changbai Pine Forest, located in his hometown, which Charlie agreed to do, although it is initially implied to be a lie due to Charlie’s tone of voice. In the episode's post-credits scene, however, it's revealed that Charlie, Pim, Allan, and Glep fulfilled his desire and buried him in his hometown. Charlie comments that he probably tastes delicious now, to which Pim replies that he's never had a century egg before. Charlie then starts to dig him up, claiming that he has to try it at least once.
